Frixa Co. Ltd was formed in 1991 and is part of the Hankook Tyre Group of companies who are the world’s 7th largest tyre manufacturer. Both companies head offices are based in South Korea.

In 2006 Frixa Co.Ltd appointed a UK based division Frixa High Performance Brakes for their expertise in the deisgn and construction of brake pad friction materials for MotorSport.

Frixa brake pads have been designed to maintain reliable and consistent performance throughout all driving conditions.

Hankook Tyres announced partnership with Frixa in 2004 strengthening their global automotive presence. Extensive research into brake pad materials has been carried out utilising Hankook’s impressive state-of-the-art R & D centre in Daejoen, South Korea. Frixa have now developed the finest brake pads available on the market today.

Frixa was certified in January 2004 to TS16949 and IS09001 and exports it products all over the world. The Japanese Car manufacturers renowned for their reliability are now using Frixa brake pad materials proving the quality of Frixa’s products. Currently brake pads are supplied to Japan Manufacturers – Toyota, Honda, Isuzu, Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Nissan. The Korean market includes Hyundai, Daewoo, Kia and Samsung Cars.

From 2011 Hankook Tyres will be supplying the official race tyres for the German Touring Car Championship Series (DTM) for 3 years. Hankook Competition

Hankook Tyres have two huge production facilities in South Korea, one in Hungary and 2 in China. In addition, they have recently invested in a new $353M plant in Indonesia along with a further $954M plant in China. This will soon elevate them to the 5th largest global tyre manufacturer.
